2025 Faith + Mental Health Award Nominations

Please Read: Celebrate the transformative work being done to integrate faith and mental health by nominating an outstanding individual for the 2025 Faith + Mental Health Awards. These awards recognize those who are making significant contributions to mental health advocacy, education, and innovation on local, national, and global levels. Please note that the same individual can be nominated in all 4 categories if applicable. In addition, nominated individuals can be mental health clinicians, mental health advocates, or organizations as appropriate. Nomination forms is at the bottom of this page. 

AWARD CATEGORIES:

  • Ralph and Bernice Cunningham Community Mental Health Award

This award honors individuals/teams/organizations dedicated to improving mental health within underserved communities, including returning citizens, low-income populations, ethnic minorities, and other marginalized groups. Nominees should have demonstrated significant impact through initiatives that promote mental wellness, access to care, and community support for these populations.

  • Faith + Mental Health Pioneer Award

This award recognizes individuals leading the charge in integrating faith and mental health. Nominees may include advocates, researchers, or innovators who are creating groundbreaking strategies, promoting education, or conducting significant research in this vital area. This includes individuals/teams/organizations that are educating faith communities on the importance of mental health and also those who are advocating for holistic approaches to well-being.

  • Global Mental Health Award

This award celebrates individuals whose work has made a global impact in the promotion of mental health. Nominees should demonstrate leadership in delivering mental health solutions, resources, or advocacy to communities around the world. Their work must reach diverse populations and address mental health challenges on a global scale. This includes individuals/teams/organizations that are training clinicians and other mental health support roles in person or even remotely to make an impact in other nations. 

  • Youth Mental Health Advocacy Award

This award recognizes individuals who are raising awareness and advocating for youth mental health, including initiatives focused on youth suicide prevention, substance abuse awareness, and other critical issues affecting young people’s mental well-being. Nominees should have demonstrated a significant commitment to supporting youth through education, advocacy, and resources aimed at improving mental health outcomes for young individuals.

  • Eligibility: Nominees (individuals/teams/organizations) must have made a significant contribution to their field within the past two years.

  • Submission Deadline: 4/1/25

  • How to Nominate: To nominate an individual/team/organization, please complete the nomination form below including a detailed description of the nominee’s achievements and why they are deserving of the award.

AWARD CEREMONY

Winners will be announced and celebrated on Friday May 23rd at the 2025 Faith + Mental Health Summit. Join us as we honor the incredible individuals making a difference in mental health care and advocacy.
